Kaz is just getting started. He'll have a major announcement of what the strategy will be when the official take over date of April 1st.
The TV business is the only area of Sony that has not turned itself around. Under Kaz's watch the PlayStation division became profitable frequently over the past couple of years and I'm sure they will be making money on the 3G Vita from the launch forward. Sony really shouldn't have cut the price of the PS3 last year. That was a bad decision. Should have kept things the way they were and generate profit off of the system.
Uncharted 3 would have still pushed systems alongside Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Skyrim. They could have played last holiday season better. That is a no brainer.
I fully believe that Hirai can pull this off.
