Is that what people are setting as the measure of Vita's success? Vita doesn't need to outsell 3DS to be successful, though it does need to significantly outsell pre-pricecut 3DS to be successful.

But similar to what people have said before, if pundits are looking to Vita as the way for Sony to turn a corner to profitability then they are looking in the wrong place. Sony needs its TV and Vaio businesses to become profitable, or Sony is sunk.

@ Galaki: A loss leader business model for Vita would be fine and sensible, if their core business was profitable.
