Here's hoping that Tales of Innocence R actually makes it over here.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. I'm still waiting for them to release Tales of Phantasia PSP here in the west and I have a feeling that I'll continue to wait a long, long time

I gave up and bought the GBA copy. :(

Same here...I finished up playing it last week.

Although I love ToP to death....it was not a good experience

Should of played the PS1 version of the game, it included a better resolution and better voice overs, I finished it last summer.

Already had, but the GBA version adds a couple of nice things.

The problem with the GBA version isn't the resolution, nor the voice overs, nor the extremely crappy audio due to the lack of a separate audio chip, no those things are pretty bearable.

But having to go to a battle and seeing the speed at what the battle occurs....heck, most of the animations only had 3 - 4 different frames >_<.  Sadly, one of the greatest things about the Tales of series (the LMBS system) is probably the worst thing in the GBA port. I only wanted to finish the game as fast as I could so I didn't have to bear that anymore. My plans for a Mania mode playthrough went to the dust quickly.

What does the GBA version have that the PS1 version doesnt o.O?

I'm planning to play it eventually as well, yep its a shame that Namco didnt release the enhanced remake of the game for the PSP outside of Japan :/

I hope they at least release Tales of Innocence since they never released it in its last system.

From the PSX version, they pretty much just removed Lilith, the S.D., Satsugeki Bukouken, Odin, Shadow's dungeon, Groovy Arche, the face chats (ouch...), and the nice new map graphics. They then added Mouko Rengekiha (Rid's Omega Demon Chaos), the Dwarven Ruins (an extension to lower Morlia), Chameleon, the Let's Go Arche minigame, and the Arsia/Brambard sidequest.  - Taken from Gamefaqs.

Not many things mind you, and the removed things versus the added things balance it a bit. They also forgot to mention that they brought back the Non-Elemental Death spells from the SFC version (Distortion, Death Cloud and Black Hole). In my opinion, the added things on the GBA version could have made it the better version....if not for the biggest portion of the game (the battles) being extremely shitty.
