So you can make the avatars look like celebs and characters from video games and cartoons?  Have you seen the Family Guy Peter Mii or the Homer? It looks exactly like the cartoon.  I haven't seen anything like that from the avatars granted I never play xbox.

I can; he's right, partially.

Avatars are more "realistic" but Miis lend themselves better to caricature because you can do more things with more exaggerated features, to make them look like cartoon versions of more people - famous people or fictional people or whatever. It's part of the Mii charm.
