Whether or not you or I think the circle pad should have been in the original unit is irrelevant. Would it have been great if it had been? Sure woulda, and I would have been very pleased. But it isn't and probably won't be, and they aren't just going to manufacture something and ship it to people for free because we thought it should have been included in the first place.
So what I am saying, is that if you are someone that wanted a 2nd circle pad or thought that it should have been there, then you should buy this. Because it's worth the measly 20 bucks. And, as I said before, the additional ZR/Zl shoulder buttons are nice to have and wouldn't have been put on the original model even if the 2nd circle pad was, because of the amount they would have to fatten up the unit to include them....and that takes away from the portability and ease of carry in a pocket. I'm not forced to take the circle pad pro everywhere I go with the 3DS, just when I want it. ...and it still fits in a jacket pocket with ease.
