Piracy equals some % of real lost sales without ANY money ever going to content creators.

Used games equals some % of money flowing back to creators as someone initially buys the game as well as the seller often using money from sold game to buy another new game.

In both cases we cannot argue 100% either way. You can't argue piracy would have 100% loss or gain. As there is some number in between that would have actually bought the game while many would not. Additionally, you can't argue that every used game sale equals to another new game sale as many times that sale will just be spent on something else the seller needed or wanted.

However, only used sales has any possibility and real world evidence to show some % of money does go to the content creators.
