The ball isn't an actual ball, but an Eierlaberl. Seeing videos of historical games always makes me chuckle. Not because of the uniforms, but the way the kicker runs towards the ball: straight on. Americans had no idea whatsoever how a ball needs to be kicked. But most of all, Americans have the nerve to call themselves world champions after winning a national contest.
