The JPG compression seems to kill some of the detail which makes these shots look a lot closer than they should. I have the game running and am switching back and forth between this pose and the "After" screenshot and some of the detail is missing. I'll take another shot out in a field with a lot of foliage later and upload some PNGs too. Today is the last day of my bandwidth limit so I have to be careful not to go over and get charged extra. |
Thanx for posting the comparison shots tads :)
At first glance it doesnt seem to have a major impact but looking closely at the detail reveals quite a big difference, also you said that it looks even better during gameplay ^^
Just a few questions on this: How big is the high res texture pack? And does it have a major impact on performance ?
