I agree with you on that, but it was the whole Laguna thing that really had me going "WTF". But the love story wasnt great either, maybe these guys just suck at telling that kind of story??

The Laguna parts were the better parts in terms of portraying the relationships between people, because they were narrow in scope and only ever tried to show Laguna as a parallel for Squall's romanticism.

Im not afraid, but your right about Laguna. I just didnt like him as a character, thought he was a bit dull and his friends too. But the love story was worse.Actually i thought the whole thing started going down hill about half way through the 2nd disc
