The question isn't whether the Vita could accept the information, as you could transfer a PS3 game to even the PSP, but it was then no longer running on the TV anymore. It was an "either, or" situation. The question is whether the PS3 would be capable of sustaining the game in its entirety while it runs on the Vita, also in its entirety. Examples: if the Vita were the exact same thing as a PS3 and was capable of receiving the code, then I'm sure it could be done, even with only the PS3 running the game. Or if the PS3 and Vita each had a copy of a specific game running, then they'd be able to interact as well, no problem. Or if the game was something relatively simple and not very graphic intensive, I'm sure it could be displayed on both in that situation, too. Where I am skeptical is, say, running Uncharted 3 on the PS3 (and TV) while the Vita has the full game running on it simultaneously (and have the ability for them to interact instantaneously). This is likely why Nintendo took so long to confirm that two tablet controllers could be supported with WiiU, as it takes a lot of power (and possibly intended design) to stream something like Zelda HD in its entirety to two independent screens while still running on the TV as well. My point being that the WiiU's ability to stream with this kind of performance may not be able to be done on the PS3/Vita, despite the fact that the Vita is a far more capable device on its own than a WiiU controller is. Only time will tell, though. |
Well look at it this way, GT5 Supports 3 monotrs, running 3 playstation 3's in tandom, one being the server. showing 3 diffent views, So yes, it's very possible for the vita and ps3 to do this. Beside, sony already said they could.
