Who copied who? Sony invented Move/Wiimote in 2000, WiiU technology patented long before WiiU was announced.

Sony may have had the idea before Nintendo released their products, but they obviously didn't see the value in them; which is actually a much worse statement about their management.

Realistically, if you read all the patents that have been filed by Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft on user interface devices you would see hundreds of UI concepts that never made it to market because the companies did not see value in them. The fact that Sony filed a patent that loosely resembles a device Nintendo is actually releasing doesn't mean that Sony ever planned on releasing that device.
