Not really. The pre-radiant FE games can screw you over pretty hard with the random stat growths. I've played the game numerous times and got various results that were all over the place. Tana tends to have more strength, but less speed on average though. But as for defense and resistance, it really feels like a lottery. Anyway, Tana tends to be better in the end, because Vanessa eventually hits the cap for speed and Tana gets there too, just at a slower rate.

Vanessa's growths were kind of expected; Tana just started out pretty strong and then she stayed strong.
