It will be sold to make a profit it won't blow xbox out of the water to much in an effort to ensure it recieves ports. Sony will do as much as possible to get sales as cheaply as possible. They will likely scrap Move and not bring in a Kinect competitor focusing instead on classic gameplay and adding some unique innovations to the controller. I think PS4 could very well take out Microsoft early on if they play their cards right. If they launch alongside one another in 2013. Sony could over take Nintendo within two to three years assuming Nintendo does not get a large enough head start. But if Sony doesn't consider Nintendo a competitor they should be able to win. By not releasing a Kinect or Tablet. They can shave a ton of cost from the hardware making it cheaper to make then Nintendo or Microsofts console. They should be able to turn a big profit off each unit selling at a very competitive price. 350$ at launch and able to cut the price further if the hardware doesn't sell well enough. |
