The F-Zero GX AIs are way more balanced and "all over the place", thus one of the reason for it to be easier than X, with the other reason being the fair first laps.

Wild Goose is the only racer who can pull off 10 boosts without any regeneration. That's extremely beneficial compared to the more common 5-7 numbers

Edit: And it turns extremely well on top of it. He's just a sucky spinning AI.

Well, that is true. The GX AI is more all over the place, so you don't need to have that high of a total score.

Wild Goose tops out at around 1500 kph though, over 100 kph lower than the average. The common number of boosts would be seven to eight, there's no vehicle that only has five. The way Wild Goose turns is awkward, something about it always seemed off. It doesn't handle like other vehicles at all.

The slow speed is compensated by the high amount of boosts. Both Fat Shark and Crazy Bear (I'm sure I'm forgetting/not aware of a few others) are extremely close to having only 5 boosts, one hit in the wall at high speed and they're dead after five.

After mastering Wild Goose's "awkward" turning manner you'll find it very effective in tight turns and in combination with boosting, giving a feel similar to snaking.
