You probably only have seen vehicles that sped up unusually high, but that can happen when a vehicle is hit by another at a specific angle. But thinking it over, I do have doubts that it's easy to get into a top 5 position within the first lap on master difficulty. Not because the AI cheats, but because it goes at roughly the same speed as the player. And GX is not easier than X. |
While that may be true (still doubt it, happened a few times when I was at 29th place), you still can't deny that the rival or "supposed rival" always drives way faster than the other AIs even during the first lap (although the same thing can be said about the cheap Mario Kart AIs)
If GX is harder for you. you obviously never tried Wild Goose... and it's still easier with any of the other guys except Silver Rat.
