Nah I'm talking about the audience type who bought DS just to play Brainage Suduko,  which is massive(It's pre-installed on every DSi to boot, so yeah)   I doubt there is much overlap with this audience and 2d Mario's anyways. Heck it might even be completely separate audiences altogether. DS sold 140+M after all.

It's more like you want it to be two separate audiences. God forbid these people play the same games as you. I am not saying there is huge overlap, but the assumption that nobody ever bothers to try out a different type of game is... is... what would Khuutra say... that assumption is... ah, screw it. Your assumption is silly.

Well the ideal situation for Nintendo this year would be: brainage like hits; gets a great concentration of AAA third party games that sells well, and the usual Nintendo stuff... They might get the ultimate selling console that has never  before witnessed ever in the history of the industry (Ps2 like sales + Casual sales+ Nintendo sales). But thats only the ideal situation BTW.  For Nintendo, DS came closest to this but not quite.
