While I don't think Kinect 2.0 has a chance of achieving this with you sitting on the couch (too far away, too tiny eye movements) maybe from behind the pc monitor it could work.

However I do think it could revolutionize stereoscopic vision. The biggest problem I have with current 3D tech is that it does not adjust the focus and depth of field to what you are looking at. With eye tracking it could adjust the scene naturally to what you are focussing on. No more eye strain caused by looking at blurry things in the scene, instead the scene would adjust the same way as your focus adjust when you look to something near of far away. That would make VR vizors a lot more interesting to me.
