You may have heard of me. Most likely what you heard was something related to Ridge Racer. You may be surprised to know I do much more than shout the names of mid 90’s arcade racing games. I am also a successful businessman and will become the CEO of Sony on April 1st. No, it is not an April Fools Joke; the fact we were the company that released Adam Sandler’s “Jack and Jill” proves we don’t really get jokes at Sony. I think I will make a great CEO. I can’t say for sure because Sony doesn’t have a time machine (if we did we would have not released the PSP Go). However, I do feel I proved why I should be CEO when I was Head of Sony Computer Entertainment: I lead the division to great successes like the PlayStation Move and the Japanese launch of PS Vita. So once I get my giant hands on the job, what will I do? I have decided to tell you, our valued consumers, what I will do first. Why you and not the other Sony executives? Because I believe the C in CEO stands for “Caring for our consumers”. Well, I did before I actually bothered to look up CEO in a dictionary. These are my first 4 ideas: We have successfully launched the world into 3D, our next step is to push technology into 4D. Ever wondered what the football match you’re watching on TV smells like? No, you probably haven’t. But you will after we have aggressively marketed our “Bravia Smellevision Television” in 2014. Our figures show that our most commercially successful movies feature Spiderman. Going forward all Sony Pictures films will feature Spiderman regardless of genre or subject matter. Old successful Sony pictures like “The Social Network” will have a BluRay/DVD rerelease with Spiderman put into the film using CGI We will launch a rival to Twitter called the “Sony Microblogging Service” or SMS for short. We intend to outdo Twitter by allowing messages of 141 characters instead, a whole 1 character more than regular Twitter! We will finally get the original Ridge Racer released on PSN. That’s not for business reasons, I just really, really like Ridge Racer. These are just some of the ideas I will bring as CEO. Hopefully they will help us make a profit; the book “Being a CEO for Dummies” tells me that is a good thing for a business. Ultimately, if by the end of me reign consumers stop saying “this Sony product is overpriced” and start saying “this Sony product is overpriced but I will buy it anyway” I will consider my time as CEO as successful.
