Since I talked about oldies being better than most new music I just wanted to throw this out there... I never really appreciated Elvis too much when I was younger. Sure I knew who he was and a few of his songs (but I was born after his time). However, probably not till after having a few meaningful relationships that I probably appreciated him even more. I don't think that is the best way of putting it but after getting into The Righteous Brothers a lot recently it was pretty easy to go to Elvis, Buddy Holly, etc.. I got into a decent amount of classic rock during high school and college years but I didn't start going to the oldies heavily till recently. I did enjoy listening to oldies when I was a kid but soon put them to the side for 90s rock scene that exploded.
