To be fair, IGN gave Assassin's Creed 7.7 (Xbox 360, 7.5 PS3). Once again, their main complaint was that though the game was in parts great, there were both technical and gameplay issues. Same sort of thing here. I think I will still pick up NMHs but do we really just want the game reviewers to turn into "pat on the back" bots? I would prefer to know what is bad about a game before picking it up rather than finding it out once I own it.
I do sometimes feel that the big sites (IGN, Gamespot, etc.) tend to be very inconsistent in their reviews, though.
