You raise some very good points happydolphin...i agree with almost everything your saying...i too am optimistic for the PSV's future (atleast compared to that of the psp).
One thing is for sure, the PSV is doing a much better job at appealing to core gamers...who are not handheld gamers. Thanx for posting the lists of launch titles, i knew it was a comprehensive launch lineup but never really saw all of them in one long list! Looking at the launch titles alone makes me want to get the PSV. Now take the psp...did any1 even take not of the psp's launch lineup? I remember there was more hype for the console itself, rather than the games. Atleast in this regard Sony have definately stepped up. These games might not appeal to core nintendo gamers (like Rol), but they sure as hell appeal to more gamers than what the psp's launch lneup did. And i think Rol is missing this point or simply doesnt see the value in these games.
My issue with PSV is not the software/games but just about every other aspect of the PSV, which was looking promising at one point but i think Sony dropped the ball here. Its as if these issues are disuading gamers to buy the device when they should be doing the opposite and in this regard Sony hasnt learnt. The vision sony has for a product and a ecosystem surrounding that product, and the way they go about achieving that are not in sync and it simply wont work.
Whats worse is that Sony have made some mistakes that might not be able to be rectified with a hardware revision. Although most issues can be fixed over time, thats just it though, it needs time.
Sorry if my post was vague, didnt really wanna get to into it. But i hope you get what im saying and thanx for posting the list of games! That really got my attention.
