Well said, and I agree. Not that i agree with much of the article, but ppl are being brutal about the Vita and writing it off way too soon.
The Vita is honestly one of - if not the - sexiest pieces of hardware I've seen. Its also extremely unique in that it contains virtually every current input method possibility, and even a new one with the rear touch pad. I've never had the slightest interest in getting a handheld despite being a gamer, but the Vita changed this. All the different input methods create significant potential for the vita, not to mention its ability for unprecedented handheld - and darn near console quality - graphics. Oh, and then there's the fact of its incredible list of launch games, stated by many to be the best launch lineup ever seen, handheld and console alike.
The problem is, despite my desire to get the vita, I just wouldn't have time to play it as a 25 year old guy working a full time job. And that's the only thing that concerns me for the vita. Sony is still targeting older gamers with the vita, and this is simply not the age group most likely to buy a handheld. They stated they would begin concentrating more on the younger audience beginning in 2014 I think was the year; but this would be a huge mistake IMO, and is the biggest mistake they made with the PSP, again IMO.
Vita has so much going for it, but they really, really need to attract younger gamers with the games they bring out.
