You could argue that online passes might prevent used sales but I highly doubt it does by much. If anything I could find a used copy of a game 10-15 dollars cheaper on Amazon than Gamestop. Thus the 10-15 dollars savings over Gamestop used game can be then used to purchase online pass. Basically, the strategy didn't do shit. |
If you buy the game used an then buy the online pass, you have pretty much done what the publisher wanted you to do. Now that you've given them some money, doubt they really mind if you bought a used copy.
