Do you agree with companies trying to rid used game sales?

Instead of using a punishment system with project 10 dollar, why not introduce a loyalty system. When you buy a new game of the same publisher and still have your registered original game disc, they could imburse you money for digital purchases, or give you upcoming dlc for free.
Steam already does it for digital purchases. They would need to add a unique id to each game disc if that's possible.

The way it is now first time purchases are regarded as beta testers, and 2nd hand purchases are regarded as scum by the industry. Maybe they want us all to wait for the fixed up discounted goty edition?

Seem does extremely well for one and that is without used sales, number two not all games are 60 as prices drop.  Not all games should be 60 dollars either and that probably will change eventually too
