Absolutely not. Not only is it an exercise in stupidity for the sake of stupidity, where corporations try to frame profit-mongering as a moral imperative more important than the integrity of the product itself, it's also a transparent battle against one of the institutions that defines consumer rights for consumable products.
The second-hand market is an essential element of any entertainment ecosystem. Gaming is no different. So long as we're able to own the physical copies of the games that we buy, we should be able to resell them, period.
