While Activision are correct seems to me they're finding it's not going to be easy to try and have an exclusive deal on one console while trying themselves to offer a cross-console elite service offering as well.

Really I don't think the two are that compatible from a marketing perspective and Activision are going to face this so long as DLC hits 360 first. People are going to take Elite and expect that means they get priority - they're wrong, but to be fair Activision is trying to mix two messages here and this won't go away as a result.

Kinda makes you wonder why the hell a PS3 user would even get ELITE, hell why would anyone for that matter

That - in a nutshell - is there problem.  They're positioning Elite as giving you the uber priority and experience, but this cuts across their existing deal which gives 360 a time advantage on DLC.

TBH personally I think they should have waited until the contract expired until they brought something like Elite to the market.  I guarantee they are going to hear this complaint a lot.

Exactly, ill take it one step further and they should just scrap the whole thing.  ANother cooky idea is just go all online, since most people play for the online and its yearly released. That saves them time on making campaigns that seem to get worst every year. Keep the Spec Ops and Zombies, have every map ever made and add some new ones every few months. Charge a 5 bucks per month and there you go.
