I want to buy a 3D HDTV.  Here's what I'd like in the TV:

  • around $1000 or less
  • 1080p (of course!)
  • at least 4 HDMI ports
  • VGA cable support (I'm gonna use it as a PC monitor, too)
  • Picture in Picture
  • High refresh rate

Anybody know a good bit about the subject matter?  Do I go LCD, LED, or Plasma?  Which brand is the best?  Any good deals?  I plan to buy one in the next couple of weeks.  Help me out!

Here's what I've been looking at so far--http://www.google.com/#q=42+inch+3d+tv&hl=en&prmd=imvns&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=JPIjT8WoC9CltwfL3JmiCw&sqi=2&ved=0CIgBEK0E&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=a075e3990efb18ab&biw=1366&bih=639

I'm currently using a Vizio LED HDTV and I'm very pleased with it.  I saw a 3DTV at Best Buy a few months ago and the picture was much better than I had anticipated.  The tech is very good.  I had previously written off the purchase of a 3DTV but now, I really want one!
