Sorry, but as android grabs more and more tablet/smartphone/ and especially feature phone market share, Nokia will have a harder time going up against android.
-Android phones win on the specs/price ratio and this is probably the key metric for nokia's traditional strength, that is budget phones. That's why android is so far taking more and more feature phone market share away from MS platforms, even though only five years ago, MS had 75 percent of this market.
-Android is getting more and more developer attention, so the monetization of the platform is better. Developers want market share on a platform if they are going to make software for it
-android is getting more and more tablet market share, so they are going to be a better competitor all the time..... right now, MS tablets have about 2 percent market share which isn't good
-MS is turning into something like a stodgy old industrial firm, getting only 8 revenue on a yearly basis and they don't have a lot of new markets left that really make sense for the company, so I see why they want the smartphone market so much. Meanwhile, google has about 20 yearly revenue growth or if not, it's in the high teens, so they're going to rush in and try to be really aggressive as that's their thing I guess
