Battlefield 3 is much better on the PC largely because it supports more players per match, superior graphics are a small part of it. Battlefield 3 is a very poor example because the gameplay suffers when you scale it back for the consoles. It's not just Battlefield 3 either, I can't imagine not being able to mod my games, there are plenty of compelling reasons to buy games that are natively developed for the PC on that platform other than graphics. Just saying.
