Intellectual property laws, licenses and copyright laws maintain monopolies and mainly benefit big corporations. Making a copy online is a breach of copyright laws. It is hard to enforce US copyright laws, patents and licenses until the whole world.
Why do I pirate? Because I like getting stuff for free and I save money.
