For those who have time to invest in their PC's, and those who have the money, then more power to you.

Depending on the site i'm working on i sometimes take my console(s) to work with me.

Sure, a decent PC can run most games, but the constant upgrading and all that nonsense would just get on my tits to be honest. (i work 12 hour shifts, throw in 3 hours travel there and back and i'm left with 9 hours for myself before sleep, food ect)

My laptop now stays strictly at home, whenever i start taking them with me on my travels they conk out after 12-18 months.

I'm pleased for those of you who like you're PC gaming, but it will just never be my cup of tea.

You don't need to update often if you don't care much about top of the line graphics. I upgrade mine now every 3-4 years. I can understand your opinion though. I was once a purely console gamer too but then my friends helped me discover the greatness of PC gaming in 2005

Same here. I just recently replaced my Dual Core DDR2 DX9 setup which is ~5 years old and now I have a Quad Core DDR3 DX11 pc that runs my games on high - ultra. I can see myself upgrading once again in 3 years or more.

There's a plethora of PC games out there, fortunately...and I am missing out only on the console exclusives. Thankfully all consoles except the PS3 and X360 are playable on PC ;)
