I don't agree with the article.

Sounds like the author has more of a beef with the obnoxious vocal minority PC gaming pundits rather than developer support of PC gaming. One really doesn't have anything to do with the other.

The notion that fewer games will be developed due to the inevitable progress in gaming graphics is laughable and overlooks the growing market of budget games which do exactly the opposite of take up more developer resources.

At bare minimum, it should be acknowledged that past a certain point in the hardware lifecycle of any console, the limitations start to outweigh the merits of familiarity. New hardware means fewer constraints for developers interested in pushing the envelope.
