Microsoft comments on Halo 4 development, 343 looking to evolve franchise

But I'm pretty sure we'll get at least a bit before E3, as I assume they'll want to show a demo off the game being played at the MS Conference at E3.

The series does need to evolve, but it still has to stay true to the Halo feel.
