They aren't ignoring the core gamer and now that they have so many studios set up for next gen you can expect an absolute huge amount of first party exclusives (both Kinect only and one's that can be used with a controller and Kinect)
|
A huge amount of Kinect games yes, but we have no evidence of many exclusives for traditional controls.
Even if some of the Kinect games are planned to be "core" Kinect games I am suspicious because I hold the belief that Kinect is near useless for core gaming except for the odd arcade style title such as Child of Eden (which would have been a cool experience with Kinect 2.0).

I will say this again. MS won't abandon the core gamer...it's really as simple as that.
|
Only because they abandomed them in 2010.
|
XBLA, Halo Remake, Forza 4, Gears of War 3, amazing 3rd Party games and my 360 is so hot i think its gonna get fire...
Yeah hardcore gamers have gone, they are no more on 360.
lol

You only listed two Microsoft IP's and the rest were third party. They are NOT investing in core IP's. Way to prove Microsoft cares. :)

Well unlike Sony that just takes blind shots in the dark, shots that usually miss and are forgotten, Halo 4 alone will win 2012 for 360 due to its flagship status.
Not to mention 360s other 2012 offerings, that most gamers are content with 3rd party games, the fact that all core gamers made their choice at this point, and MS trying to hold onto their new audience they just captured.
Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
