Wha? Not nominating Crysis 2 is crazy. Personally I still think Crysis 2 was the best of the year. Being able to pick up light sources and have them illuminate everything, cast real time shadows etc. I would put U3 and GeoW3 on the same level and KZ3 a bit below. Kinda hard to pick between them. Uncharted 3 is utterly beautiful and has the best environments and cinematic moments but doesn't quite have the scale and actual gameplay graphics of GeoW3, both have great attention to detail. Sand running off drake, Characters in gears recoiling when bullets hit nearby. KZ3 is very impressive but I feel it's just nice looking graphics with no soul or nice design. Can't believe some sites wouldn't even nominate Crysis 2 though. However I suspect it's because a lot of the time multiplatform games (especially those leading on PC) seem to get overlooked in favour of exclusives. I mean for how average the game was RAGE looked fantastic, especially enemy animations.

Crysis 2 was the shit technically, who the hell didn't nominate it?! They deserve to be punished...
Also glad to see Prey 2 added to the nomination list, I'm really looking forward to that game!

GameTrailers, Spike and IGN out of the top of my head went all to UC3. Crysis 2 wasn't nominated on GT and Spike. BF3 PC version was nominated in GT and yet lost to UC3 and there's many many more. GameReactor Sweden claims Crysis 2 is the best looking video game on the PC but it lacks in comparison to Uncharted 3, Uncharted 2, Killzone 3, God of War 3 and Gears of War 3. I think it's no revelation that a lot of sites don't acknowledge the PC hence UC3's utter domination.

Kind of silly though, it might not have been the shining example on consoles as it is/was on pc, but it was certainly nomination list worthy I would say.

I completely agree. It should have been UC3, KZ3, Crysis 2, Gears 3 and the last one can be debated. I guess BF3 for its PC performance. But to leave out KZ3 and Crysis 2 is just bleh. Rage was nominated by quite many. I think it's remarkable how Sony manages to push out one game each year that just gives you orgasm on a visual level. I'm somewhat of a graphics whore so it's very appreciated from me xD.
