......much later.....
Back at the stray sheep, the place seems even quieter than usual despite more people showing up.
"We haven't got our drinks in ages..what's taking so long".
The barman was making his rounds to the tables serving drinks.
"What's going on with Erica, must be her night off"
-"Oh really? No way. Maaan", whined Toby. "I guess a girl needs a night off once in a while"..
"Anything's better than this creep", agreed Vincent.
"Gentlemen, is there anything I can get for you"?
"Beer", returned in unison.
"Glad I can be of service, did you know-"
"Not now, old man, just get us our drinks".
"Right away" -
"Oh, hey did Erica say where she was going tonight?"
"- Eh, oh well, no...she didn't. She didn't even call, she was scheduled to work, but well, a woman's spirit is-"
"Just the drinks, please"
"Er.. yes, gentlemen"
Vincent walked around the bar area, talking to various patrons. He couldn't get over his dream last night, or rather, his lack of dream. He grew tired, and restless at the dream. A seat at the bar would be a good chance to organize his thoughts.
"What happened? All I remember is running...getting chased...or was I chasing? Panic. Just total panic."
The jarring noise of a news bulletin chimed on the tv.
"Police are still tracking the case surrounding the mysterious deaths. Last night another body was found, but the chief says they are unsure whether the instances are related. The victim, one Erica Anderson-"
It hit him like a brick wall. Erica was dead. WHAT?!? How could this happen? He heard the door bell and looked to see Toby just as he was running out.....
"......Though the deaths are strangely similar, this is the first case of the victim being a woman. Police will continue the investigations and have notified us that they will update whenever they can"
