As I live in Europe the 32GB card won't be available in shops here, but I really want one as I know I'll need the space and prefer to keep as much as possible on one memory card.
As Amazon set up their Vita-section I thought that was a good place to preorder from, but it turns out they are not allowed to ship that item to Europe. So where to try next?
I want to preorder soon so that I'll hopefully have the memorycard at or close after launch. I also don't wish to pay (much) more than the recommended $99. |
Well... Amazon.com but I don't know how can You import them with out the shipping being expensive... may be a PO.BOX service like what I use to import to Venezuela from USA... You must look and ask on DHL, MRW, FEDEX, or any private post service...

Not sure what you are telling me here, I said i tried Amazon and then you recommend me Amazon?! As I said, Amazon.com are not allowed to ship 32GB memory cards to Europe (at least not to Sweden), so I'll have to try somewhere else. Shipping was only $6.99 so that's not too bad, but after completing all steps of the purchase but the very last, I was informed that item would not ship to my location.
It seems possible to import from Asia/Japan, but then prices are almost 50% higher and that is definately too much.

A P.O.BOX... is a phisical direction on any city of the USA so any item that You buy on Amazon or any other eShop can be received there then they send you to Europe... I have a P.O.BOX on miami and from there they send the items to me on Barcelona, Venezuela, South America. Did you understand now?
you can Try www.Play-Asia.com they right now have only japanese MC but later they will add 32gb US MC so just wait... the Shipping i don't know how much will be... but sure is better than 70€ for a 16GB MC rigth?

Aha, then I understand you! I guess that would be an option as a means to order from Amazon.com, but not sure it's worth the hassle (and potential extra wait).
Had a look at Play-Asia and a few other sites for importing from Asia/Japan, but as I said prices are 50% higher than american prices, $150 for the 32GB card is way too much. 16 GB won't cost €70 here in Sweden at least, they seem to be just over €50 (~€53). But yeah maybe prices will be lower at sites like PlayAsia after the western Vita launch.
