No. That was just someone saying it under their guise. From what I understand they never even attempted to do anything to facebook. Again it is a far more complicated issue. There isn't a single group of Anonymous. It's just a concept, technically anyone could be in it.
Pretty ridiculous seeing people saying how the government should get involve when we literally just had the huge issue with SOPA and PIPA.
Like I said often Anonymous are acting for good reasons, it is just the way they do it is often viewed as wrong. Unfortunately you will see it constantly being reported when they do something like this. Yet when the group helps track down a pedophile, do things to try and help with the problems in Libya or help Iranian protesters you won't see it being reported anywhere near as much.
I don't think it's such a simple black and white issue to say ''Oh they are bad'' or ''Oh they are good''. They sometimes do good, sometimes do bad and often through questionable ways.
The funny thing is as well that a lot of companies will often hire these guys if they get the chance. The guy who Sony went after for hacking the PS3 has been working at Facebook lol. A lot of these hackers simply end up working at nice well paid jobs.
