What are your favourite Game Soundtracks' (OST's) of all time? Let's discuss

Hello all,

I have not seen this topic before so I figured I would start a (hopefully large) thread! I, for one, listen to many game soundtracks, therefore I will list my top 10 (not in an exact order):

1) Final Fantasy 10: PS2

FFX had some of my favourite songs of all time: People of the North Pole, To Zanarkand, BESAID ISLE!, A dream that will end sometime. No soundtrack has grasped me as much as this one

2) Skies of Arcadia: Dreamcast/Gamecube

Tough to name a particular 'song' but some of the beauties are 'Main Theme', Theme of Loneliness, Battle Theme, Kingdom of Ixataka, etc. I just LOVED this game so much that I always go back to the OST

3) Shenmue: Dreamcast

The music in Shenmue was Incredible; even if you haven't played the game you MUST check it out one day.

4) Kingdom Hearts Series: Every System ever

Wow where do I begin, the first time I heard dearly beloved I left the start screen on for what must have been HOURS. I youtube playlist kingdom hearts all of the time.

5) Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross: SNES & PS1

These games had amazing soundtracks, even if Chrono Trigger was for the SNES. I can't reccomend checking them out enough. Chrono cross ones I know off the top of my head are Radical Dreamers, and my favourite song EVER Dreamwatch of Time !!!

6) Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core

Price of Freedom and Under the apple tree are two of the greatest video game songs ever made IMO....incredible guitar work on this OST.

7) Radiant Historia: DS

Played this gem this year and the OST was my favourite part.

8) Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 9: PSX

Can't decide between the two so I put both! Incredible soundtracks

9) Zelda: Ocarina of time & Majora's mask: N64

The soundtracks overlap and are very similar. I LOVE the town themes,  and song of storms I can listen to forever

10) Shadow of the Colluses: PS2

When I originally played the game I did not pay too much attention to the music. Now that I played through the collection I must say that the music was INCREDIBLE.

 

Other Incredible Ones:

Silent Hill 2, Bastion, Grim Fandango, and Xenogears.
