No.

I moreso have an issue with the way they described it as a laptop touchpad. I can't stand gaming with touchpads. I always used a portable mouse when my laptop was in commission.

No. Did you read the article or did I misread where they said the slidepads were similar to the laptop touchpads....

I read the article but I think were both lost XD I'll check again.
