What can definately prove that Microsoft overshipped 360 in the last quarter? The ONLY answer is the shipment figure of 2012 Q1. If the figure is extreme low, it will mean 100% 360 was overshipped between Oct and Dec.
I want to laugh at those who claimed 360 was overshipped without any solid evidence.
Don't forget one thing, in last year Q3, MS only shipped 2.3M 360, so they didn't start to prepare the holiday season in advance. The consequence of this is they needed to ship as many as possible units in the last quarter to meet the retailer's demands. That is why the last quarter shipment looked huge.
However, shipment means sales for Microsoft and at least they can have a beautiful 2011 and had the chance to beat SONY to be the manufacturer who sold the most consoles in the entire year.
