| Man said: seems kinda strange that a company with those goals (innovation, new ways for story telling) would chose sony... i would think the wii offers more for an innovative studio than the ps3, but that may be just me |
Nintendo spurs creativity in hardware while Sony spurs creativity in software. Nintendo created the Wiimote, but Sony has consistently pushed its studios to create games new and different games like Shadow of the Colossus, Parrappa the Rappa, LocoRoco, Patapon, LittleBigPlanet, etc., all using existing hardware.
With Nintendo, they'd get the means for innovation (the Wiimote), but with Sony they'd get actual support for innovation (financial, or otherwise).
