I'm sure Blizzard will figure and work it out just fine.

Skyrim has an horrible spell switching system, I wouldn't use it as a reference. Also in Skyrim, the game pauses when you bring up your favorites, Diablo never pauses so you need to be able to change skills fast.

I agree with you that they'll figure out something but it will undoubtedly be inferior to the PC version.
