Wow what a waste of money. My bluetooth headset can do the exact same thing.

Take your headset out of your ear and put it across the room and see how good the voice recognition is now.

Why would you do that...? Surely the whole point of a headset is...you wear it...on your head....no?

I am sure you are aiming to show the strengths of Kinect by your arguement but I feel it's just creating problems where there aren't any.

Ok buddy. The kinect hate train stops here.

You claim we can do this with headsets. Cool story. People here allready disproved you by saying that Kinect makes voice recognition easier. Also its headset free, as you dont have to put on a physical accessory to play games. Thats another plus of kinect.

Also, if you can do this with a headset or not is irrelevant......as I dont see headset functionality with the PS3. So dont discuss hypotheticals unless its relevant.

This finctionality is OPTIONAL, an experiment. So I dont understand these complaints.

Seems the obvious reason for these complaints is that this is a 360 exclusive feature and the convienence of not using the power wheel, hence having completely uninteruppted gameplay on the 360 version, gives it a clear edge on the PS3 version.

This thus breeds sensitivity. If your a PS3 loyal, just let it out there and be yourself. Dont hide.

"I dont see headset functionality with the PS3"

the ps3 doesn't support headsets now?

"People here allready disproved you by saying that Kinect makes voice recognition easier"

um that it makes implementation easier may very well be the case but regardless it should be obvious to anyone with common sense that any console equiped with a microphone and software to recognise voice commands can be capable of this kind of feature

here is the ps3 responding to voice commands long before kinect was launched

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TaUsSy-f0Y

all that is required is for the game to have the voice recognition software incorporated

the only reason we aren't seeing more games with this feature across all of the consoles is that at this point in time microsoft is the only one focused on implementing this in games

"Seems the obvious reason for these complaints"

he wasn't complaining he was questioning the stupidity of yourbadatgames saying that a headset should be used away from your head... but somehow you see no issue with that right?... that you got so riled up by that shows who's truly sensitive here
