And if they can have a comparable version of Wii U titles, I don't see a reason to rush into the next gen. Sit back and reap the rewards of this gen. Sony doesn't need to start something new and Microsoft should just focus on its new apps and Kinect. I don't mind waiting. |
Seeing as how it doesn't make a difference one way or another if they were announcing a 2013 holiday season launch, I don't either. It's not like an early announcement is going to push up the release date.
In fact, I'd just as soon hear the announcement the same year as the release. 2013 E3 announcement/2013 holiday season launch? No problem; less waiting.
Besides, unless there are any software gems being announced along with the new hardware, I can't say I really care that much as a consumer. Later announcement should mean many games closer to gold release which should also be a better indicator of what the real improvements are.
