I assumed too, given they said the exact same last year and ended up surpassing it with flying colours.

It's just strange that they're down YOY in December in the US and yet ship 2m+ more?

NPD isn't infallible. I don't put much stock in anything source says, but for those that do, he claimed NPD did had 360 above Wii last Dec, but they whacked another 500k on top at the last minute? Who knows if that's remotely true. I don't think NPD would do that and are that off, but I do think they can be off some 200k~ or whatever.

They're up in the US for the Q, and it wouldn't surprise me if they were up in Europe and the countries they said they were investing in this holiday with better and more advertising. There were literally hardly any consoles out there the end of Q4 last year as well, it's likely they would have shipped an extra 1m last Q4, insted they shipped that in the following Q.

So it's more 360 being up 1m in sales to consumers, and a smaller Q1 as no refilling the channel will occur this time.
