Several of the turnovers were unforced. The Saints have done incredibly well all season at being positive in turnover margin. I'll say again, without Vernon Davis having the game of his life, the Saints would have won. Nothing else decided the game. |
Drew Brees threw 2 INT's first time in the postseason that he has done that in 5 years. Unforced? How is an interception unforced? That's good defense.
Bree's sacked 3 times, hit/hurried 17 times, was forced to throw away 5 passes in the game after throwing away eight in the last 17 games.
Opening possesion Donte Whitner knocks the smack out of Pierre Thomas and he coughs up the ball. That defensive play set the tone of the game and Thomas never returned. If the 49ers D didnt force those turnovers the Saints would have scored a lot more points.
49ers defense generated turnovers that generated points. Don't know what game you were watching.
On another note GB vs NY - That was a fumble and that roughing the passer call for the first down was complete garbage they said blow to the head....he didnt even touch him.....terrible officiating continues.
