Hey, I'm still here, too. Not a lot, sure, but still occasionally here.

I don't think reviving this would be an issue really. There's a lot to talk about. For instance, Fire Emblem 13. There's not a lot of information about it yet, but there is a bit.

For instance, the art style being quite different. Looking like this: http://serenesforest.net/fe13/img/913/008.jpg

Another problem with Sacred Stones is that it's one of the FEs that encourage levelling up just a few units instead of using your entire team. It's entirely possible to use just Seth to do absolutely everything in the game.

I'm fairly certain you can do the entire final chapter with him alone. It's not like you need to, though, as you get Dussel at level 10 final tier halfway into the game too.

Essentially, Sacred Stones is so easy because there's a ton of methods you can do to trivialise the game. If you don't use those, then the game is hard.

Pineapple! I thought you were forum-dead. You must be doing some serious lurking.

I hope FE13 turns out to be good. I mean, I'm sure it will, but htere's just a certain charm in Fire Emblem inherent to its 80's-style anime aesthetic. Trading it off for something more modern and flowery, I'm just not sure.

The writing, I hope, will still be good. I'm sure these new gameplay elements will be balanced, but they seem to be adding a couple of layers of complexity to it - and as we all know, complexity invites the possibility of exploitation. The balance in this game is going to be very interesting.
