Not sure as I haven't played Crysis 2. But Crysis 1 has great enemy AI (at least for the humans) and it's much less linear than Crysis 2.

What do you mean by heavy combat? Slow movements and heavy feel of weapons like in Killzone 2 and Battlefield 3? Crysis is not that heavy.

I like BF3, and it was even heavier than battlefield, the aiming was slow, the guns were bland and it was just generally slow, hard to explain but it was just too clanky for me, and the controls weren't much better. I usually try to reach the maximum rank in MP FPS, but I just couldn't bear that.
