Nice to know how the older members of these forums treat new users, I'll make sure not to stroke someone's ego next time and amazed this thread wasnt locked by a moderator yet despite warnings being sent left and right on other trolling issues.

Sometimes it is not about if you are an old or a new guy, as you may have noticed even some old users also fall for this thread. Some people post for the sake of posting, if one reads through the thread you'd realice what is all that about. 

You may be right, and this could be very well stealth trolling, but if you check his post explaining the reasons behind each point (first time I've seen there is an explication of the thread) you'd see that there is a strong argument backing up the whole thing.

Maybe as you spend more time in the site you'll find a way to appreciate his humour.
